Easy Lane is a newly renovated year-round lake house available for weekly rental on Lermond Pond in Hope, Maine. Conveniently located in the Midcoast area, it's a twenty minute drive from the towns of Camden, Rockland, and Rockport. It offers the best of both worlds: a quiet, comfortable retreat on a private wooded lakefront peninsula within proximity to all the best activities and amenities of Midcoast Maine. It has three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, and sleeps six.
Enter on the main floor to a stunning view of the lake and an open plan kitchen/dining/living room that includes a cooking island, a large maple dining table, and an impressive fieldstone fireplace. Two couches provide plenty of room for reading, napping, socializing, and watching movies. A deck off the dining room is perfect for morning coffee, evening cocktails, and outdoor dining with a view.
Downstairs on the ground floor, you will find two bedrooms with direct outdoor access to the lake, and a brand new modern bathroom with a glass-enclosed shower and radiant floor heat. The cozy "Sea Room" has two XL twin beds that can easily transform into one king size bed, and the knotty pine "Cabin Room" has one queen bed. Upstairs on the third floor, the master bedroom has an incredible view of the majestic pines towering over the lake. This room has a queen bed, a trundle daybed which can function as one or two twins, and its own bathroom with a tub, shower, and two sinks. For added flexibility in sleeping arrangements, a futon couch in the living room can be folded out into a full size bed.
Outside, the property has a gently sloping yard with ample room for lawn activities, a lakeside fire pit under the pines, and a meandering nature trail through the woods along the property's 230 feet of shoreline. A large dock and offshore float are perfect for launching a kayak, canoe or paddleboard, fishing for bass and perch, taking a swim, or just lounging on the adirondack chairs. The house faces East for spectacular sunrises.
Lermond Pond is surrounded by mountain views, unspoiled woodland, picturesque cottages, and a wonderful, friendly community that has great respect for the land and the lake. With no official public boat launch, it's one of the area's most private, quiet, and pristine lakes. Paddling enthusiasts will love exploring its many coves, islands, and marshes, as well as the ability to portage to neighboring Alford Lake. Nature lovers will appreciate the property's scenic path through the woods and enjoy sightings of turtles, loons, bald eagles, herons, the resident ducks and geese, and more.
Easy Lane has all the amenities to make your stay exceptionally comfortable while still retaining the natural beauty and rustic charm of a quintessential Maine getaway. The well-equipped modern kitchen has a gas stove island with convection oven, brand new stainless dishwasher and fridge, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, and plenty of pots, pans, serving ware, and cooking gadgets. Included for your use are a washer and dryer, a propane grill on the deck, a gas fireplace in the living room, a 38" flatscreen TV with a wifi-connected DVD player capable of streaming your Netflix account, and satellite TV. Bed linens, comforters, blankets, bath towels, beach towels, hair dryers, and an ironing board with iron are provided. Wifi access is included.
